Bakson's Hamamelis Virginica is a homoeopathic aid which acts on the veins especially of rectum, genitals, limbs and throat. It helps with venous congestions, varicose veins, haemorrhoids and haemorrhages. Varicose veins may be in oesophagus (esophageal varices), rectum (piles), abdomen, legs or pampiniform plexus of veins of the scrotum. It helps to relieve veins that are painful, sore, cut, swollen and inflamed. It is helpful during pregnancy.
It has marked action on varicosities and bruises and relieves extreme soreness of the part. It is also useful in injuries causing bruises with continuous bleeding from the injured surface, for relieving the pain after operations. Bleeding may be external or internal, blood being passive, dark with soreness of the part. It is effective for bleeding from all parts - eyes, nose, stomach, piles, cough, etc. Tense bursting feeling in piles, joints or lower limbs is also relieved.
