Bakson's Berberis Vulgaris has an action on the venous system producing pelvic engorgements and haemorrhoids. It is indicated in hepatic and rheumatic affections particularly with urinary, haemorrhoidal and menstrual complaints. It is helpful in renal and bladder affections, kidney stones, gall-stones, cystitis and vesical catarrh with marked pain in the region of kidneys. It is also helpful in inflammation of kidneys (nephritis) with haematuria. It helps manage symptoms like burning pains, sensation as if some urine remained after micturating, bubbling sore sensation in kidneys, urine with thick mucus and bright red, mealy sediment, frequent micturition, and urethra burns when not micturating. It helps relieve neuralgia under finger-nails, itching of skin, eczema of anus and hands with itching and burning that is worse from scratching and better by cold application
